Jesus never had evil thoughts...

 

Jesus never had evil thoughts, because He never allowed them in. He never had common ground with the enemy; the Word tells us that (John 14:30). The devil could never find anything in Him. His heart, soul, mind, and thoughts were 100% pure. He reacted and did everything the way The Father would have.

While our spirits are born again and pure, our souls are messed up. His soul was perfect, ours are being transformed and trained by the Word of God and His Spirit! He wants us to have control over our souls (our minds, wills, and emotions), because that is the only area the devil can get at us.
